In 2010 I traveled along the East Coast of the US and met these Grandmother Super Heroes!  I asked them about their lives, their interests, their hopes and disappointments.  They spoke with candor about being a mother and grandmother and the passing of time. This amazing group of women range in age from 60 to 91 and are as diverse in attitude as they are in lifestyles.  We laughed and cried together along the way, in my search for the strength of Grandmother.
